Eleven clubs have temporarily suspended participation in the first league. Journalist Volodymyr Zverov informs about this.
In the next season, the following will definitely not play: "Agrobusiness" (Volochysk), "Viktoria" (Sumi), "Volyn" (Lutsk), "VPC-Agro" (Vyshneve), "Left Bank" (Kyiv), "Olympic" (Donetsk) ), "Victory" (Dnipro), "Podillya" (Khmelnytskyi), "Uzhhorod" (Uzhhorod), "Kramatorsk" (Kramatorsk).
16 clubs will participate in the first league competition, which will be divided into two groups (A and B) of 8 teams each.
In the first stage, 14 rounds will be played (2 rounds in each group), after which the 4 best and 4 worst teams from groups A and B will form the top and bottom eight. In the top clubs, 2 tickets to the UPL and 1 ticket to the contact matches with the 14th team of the UPL will be drawn. In the lower one, there will be a fight for survival. After the first stage (14 rounds), all teams' points are saved for the second stage, and then clubs only play matches with teams from the other group (A or B). That is, in the second stage there will be 8 rounds (2 matches with each representative of the four, with which there were no matches in the first stage). The season will last 22 rounds in total.
