Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that he misses coaching. The French specialist managed the Gunners in the period from 1996 to 2018. Wenger currently holds the position of FIFA's head of global football development.
"It's a little sad. It's the end of admiration but not the end of love because I still love Arsenal. Even today, I watch my favorite English Premier League. But you're not as close a part of it as you used to be, so it's very difficult.
40 years of continuous coaching, I have never stopped. Of course it's difficult because I miss the tension, the intensity, the great moments, even the bad moments. Physically, when you work for 22 years in one club, it's like 100 years of ordinary life. I miss it a lot," Sky Sports quoted Wenger as saying.
