Dynamo President Igor Surkis said he did not run away from Ukraine.
“I am not hiding from anyone. Today I am in Kyiv with my youngest daughter. Here you see her. I did not run anywhere, I did not take any money out. It's all cheap provocation.
And everyone who comes up with ridiculous stories about the money allegedly taken out by our family is simply trying to defame us. I am constantly on the move: either I travel around Europe with a team, or I move from Ukraine to Europe and back.
A simple example. The first president of the country, Leonid Makarovich Kravchuk, has passed away. At that moment I was with the team. I dropped everything and spent 24 hours getting to Kyiv to say goodbye to him. Was 10 days in Kyiv. And no one contacted me. And no one kept track of which car I was getting out of,” said Surkis.
