KFC France has released a statement expressing its regret over threats to end its sponsorship of the French national team following Kylian Mbappe's protest.
"KFC France regrets its words yesterday. This personal opinion in no way reflects the position of the company. The partnership with the French Football Federation has always been a source of pride for us," KFC said in a Reuters statement.
The other day, the vice-president of KFC France, Alain Beral, said that the company intends to stop cooperation with the French national team due to Mbappe's refusal to participate in a promotional photo shoot.
