Due to the poor condition of the field at the Jozef Piłsudski Cracovia Stadium, where the match with Scotland in the final round of the Nations League will take place today, the Ukrainian national team, as the day before, held its pre-match training at the club base of FC Cracovia.
However, the blue-yellows did an inspection of the lawn at the arena of the same name, having arrived there in the morning. The players and coaches walked along the grass cover: it is even visually noticeable that it is heterogeneous, with bald patches, and the feet of the players will ride on it. However, as you know, the field is the same for both teams.
In turn, the Scots did not plan to train at the match stadium, having held a pre-match session on their home lawn - on the territory of the Oriam National Sports Center in Edinburgh.
As for the Ukrainians, all 23 football players present at the location of the national team took part in yesterday's evening training. After the warm-up and physical exercises, the guys performed game series aimed at working out the tactical game model for the decisive match.
An extraordinary circumstance of the current training is the presence of the world heavyweight boxing champion in four versions Oleksandr Usyk. The famous boxer visiting his family in Poland came to the national team hotel with his two sons to support the national team. Alexander greeted the guys before the start of the evening theoretical lesson, and then left for the Blue-Yellow training.
Mutual interest was noticeable: the players expressed respect to Usyk for his unique achievements in boxing, in turn, Alexander was interested in the nuances of preparing the national team for the decisive game. A clear evidence of the rallying of Ukrainians before the decisive battle was the proposal from the collections to return to the hotel together - in the team bus, to which Usyk happily agreed.
It will not be just ordinary words to say that the players of the Ukrainian national team worked yesterday with a double motivation: everyone wants to prove their right to a place in the starting lineup in a duel on which the further tournament fate of the Ukrainian national team depends. In the evening, the head coach Oleksandr Petrakov and his assistants will have a difficult task - to determine eleven performers who will start the match with Scotland, which, we recall, starts at 21.45 Kyiv time.
