Well-known Ukrainian TV presenter Igor Tsyganyk shared his prediction for the Nations League match between the national teams of Ukraine and Scotland, which will be held today in Krakow.
“Oh, I want to say that we witnessed two completely different matches with the participation of the team of Alexander Petrakov in the League of Nations. After a crushing defeat from Scotland (0:3), our guys won a crushing victory over Armenia (5:0).
Now we need to “by default” win. I do not believe that we will lose to the Scots twice in a row. It cannot be so. We need to rehabilitate. Although, of course, the game will be very tense.
The difficulty lies in the fact that we only need a victory. A similar situation was with Stephen Clark's wards and they managed to win at home. I can't say that we can easily beat Scotland, to be honest. The opponent has very sharp and fast performers and will run out in counterattacks.
A separate issue of the composition, especially after 11 substitutions for the match in Yerevan compared to the match in Glasgow. I'm even afraid to make an assumption. However, I don't think there is much of a choice. I think that there will be a scheme with four defenders, which will look like Mikolenko - Matvienko - Zabarny - Tymchik. In the center are the well-established Stepanenko, Malinovsky and Ignatenko. On the flanks of Tsygankov and Yarmolenko, and on the edge, I suppose that Dovbik will come out, distinguished himself with a double against the Armenians.
I believe that the qualifications of Ukrainian players are higher than those of the Scots. I think that thanks to their class, ambitions and sports anger, the team of Alexander Petrakov will win. I will bet that Ukraine will win by scoring more than one goal. I expect the score like 2:1,” said Tsyganik.
