FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced changes to the work of the transfer market following the meeting of the organization's board.
In particular, the changes will begin with payments to organizations that educate players. FIFA will also take control of the transparency of payments between clubs.
"The rules of the FIFA information center were approved. We decided to create it a few years ago as part of the reform of the transfer market system. All payments related to transfers will go through the center. We will start by compensating the clubs involved in training players. There are such clubs all over the world, and they do extremely important work.
We have decided to make the system automated - every transfer of a professional player, the cost of which includes compensation for training and solidarity payments, will be automatically sent to clubs with the help of the FIFA information center. It will change the lives of small clubs.”
The new regulations will come into effect on November 16, 2022. It is noted that the clubs that have trained football players will receive about 400 million dollars, which is 5 times more compared to the current earnings.
