Dynamo Kyiv newcomer Kahim Perris told Jamaicaobserver.com about his debut in the Europa League.
“I feel that my game was strong and that I influenced the match. We were 1-3 down when I got on the pitch, some of my attacking moves directly contributed to our two late goals to get a 3-3 draw. This experience in the Europa League will help me.
For me, this is a great achievement. It proves that I am doing a lot of things right and making my career history. I feel sincere pride because the Europa League is the top UEFA competition. It is very difficult to get into the group stage, as a child I always dreamed of playing at such a level. I hope other young Jamaican players can use my accomplishments as motivation so that they can reach this level with the right approach.
I have been in Europe for several years, so it was very easy to adapt to my new club, especially because everyone in the club helped me a lot. Obviously, the situation between Russia and Ukraine creates certain difficulties, but I am completely focused on my career and do not get distracted by anything. The expectations in the club are high, almost always Dynamo is either a champion or a silver medalist,” said Perris.
