Graham Souness broke down in tears as he paid tribute to his friend and former Sampdoria team-mate Gianluca Vialli. The ex-forward of "Chelsea", "Juventus" and the Italian national team lost his battle with pancreatic cancer and passed away on January 6, 2023, which caused a wave of emotions throughout the world of football.
“I can't tell you what a good guy he was. Forget about football for a minute, he was just a great soul, he was a really good person. I went to Italy when I was 31 and he was 20 and he was just incredible. He was such a fun guy, he was full of lightness, he was such a warm personality and a great player. If you've been in his company for 10-15 minutes once, I think you'll remember him for the rest of your life," Sounes was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
