Former Arsenal midfielder Robert Pires has spoken about the performances of the Londoners this season.
"The idea of Arteta's team is very similar to Wenger's vision of the game. The current Arsenal reminds me of our team. It takes talent to play well, and now they have it. This team is built to attack, this Arsenal makes me happy.
I think Arsenal of 2004 would beat Arsenal of 2023. Lehmann, Lauren, Saliba, Campbell, Cole, Vieira, Gilberto Silva, Edegore, Saka, Bergkamp and Henry - that's what a combined team would look like in theory," Pires was quoted as saying by The Telegraph.
We will remind that in the 2003/04 season "Arsenal" became the champion of England without a single defeat.
