A former defender of the Ukraine national football team and Anatoliy Tymoschuk's former team-mate Artem Fedetskyi commented on the latter's receiving Romanian citizenship.

- This is nonsense! Believe me: I knew Tymoschuk (I knew him because I crossed him out of my life) for many years. He lived on the street next door to my parents. And I've never heard - probably, neither have Tymoschuk's family - that he had some relatives in Romania. You understand: they imposed sanctions, banned him from entering Ukraine, stripped him of all his awards, in fact, erased this traitor from the history of Ukraine. Probably, he is looking for some "loopholes" in order to come back one day, he has certain hopes.

He says, he has relatives in Romania... Maybe he had Count Dracula among his relatives, if you dig even deeper in some generation? As far as I know, he was born in Volyn and almost all his relatives are also from Volyn. If he had relatives in Romania, then, playing at Shakhtar, we could have joked about it with Rats, Berkeuane, Stoikan, the subject would have slipped through anyway. Believe me, nothing like that even came close. This is nonsense and some kind of slyness on Anatoly's part to make such documents. You do realise that literally one different letter in his passport will allow him entry into Ukraine. It is a legal trick, but thanks to them he will even be able to use the property in Ukraine. And he definitely has it. So he is looking for such methods to pull something off. But "good riddance to him", nothing is going to work out for this rascal.

I heard this information just like you yesterday and it made me laugh that we are still remembering this man in principle. But if he is trying to do such incomprehensible things to us, the law enforcement agencies should "keep their ears open" to ensure that this traitor never appears on Ukrainian territory again. I hope he won't succeed," Artem said.
