Oleksandr Sirota, the defender of Kyiv Dynamo and the Ukraine national U-21 football team, has shared his expectations for the Euro-2023 (U-21) finals, which will take place from June 21 to July 8 in Georgia and Romania, in his interview to the UAF press service.
- I have always liked the atmosphere in the national team. We haven't seen some of them here for a long time. We joke, cheer each other up. It is great.
During the theory session Ruslan Petrovych (Ruslan Rotan - head coach of the Ukraine national youth team - editor's note) said that we need to go to the Olympics. All the boys agree with that, but I would like to go even further to the Euro 2023 (U-21) final.
- Reaching the final or winning the final?
- To win the final. First, we need to remember all our combinations, interactions in defence and attack. I think, in a week we will be ready.
I think we have a very tough group (Spain, Croatia, Romania - ed.). The Croats have always been strong at youth and national team level. The Spaniards are understandable. Romanians have always been strong too. When we played them in Kiev, it was very tough.
