Funding for Kharkiv Metalist, which following last season relegated from the UPL to the first league, is in question. According to a well-known Ukrainian journalist Igor Tsyganyk, the owner and president of the club Aleksandr Yaroslavskyy has not yet made a decision on the further allocation of funds.
"At this stage, Yaroslavskyy is considering whether it makes sense for him to continue to finance Metalist. He hasn`t given it up yet, but, most likely, the club budget for next season will be based on whether we`ll manage to sell some of the current club`s players.
"Metalist" plans to start in the first league. The team will mostly have young players from the club's youth sports school with experience of playing for U-19 team. There will also be experienced players" - said Tsyganyk in his authoring program on Youtube.
