Arsenal London head coach Mikel Arteta, summing up last season, has explained why he insisted on acquiring Ukrainian Oleksandr Zinchenko and Brazilian Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City a year ago.
"My desire to get Zinchenko and Jesus is very easy to explain: I wanted these players for their amazing talent.
In addition, the human qualities of Zinchenko and Jesus, with which they won me over back at Manchester City, where I had the opportunity to work with them for four years (from 2016 to 2019 Arteta was one of the assistants to City head coach Josep Guardiola - ed.), also played an important role. So their talent combined with their mentality was the determining factor in choosing them," the Manchester Evening News quoted Arteta as saying.
