A representative of Greek Panathinaikos met with journalists and responded to Dnipro-1's claims on the eve of the return match of the second round of Champions League qualification, including the bus delay and players' poisoning.
Photo: gazzetta.grAccording to the Greek representative, the club did everything according to the UEFA protocol, and the bus was late solely on the initiative of the Greek police. The whole thing is that because of the "situation in Ukraine" the security measures were stricter than usual.
As for the poisoning of the members of the Ukrainian delegation, including 8 players, Panathinaikos said at the morning meeting dedicated to the upcoming game that they know nothing about its causes. Moreover, the Greeks made it clear that they tried to assist the Ukrainians in everything they needed. Dnipro-1's complaints were called "exaggerated" by the hosts.
The match between Dnipro-1 and Panathinaikos will start at 20:30. In the first game, the Greek club won 3-1.
