Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has thanked Tottenham fans for the nearly 20 years he has spent at the club.
"From the moment I started playing, I was one of you and I did everything I could to make you proud. I have tried to give you as many special moments and memories as possible, which I hope will last forever.
I felt it was time to leave. I didn't want to start the season with a lot of unresolved questions about the future. I think it's important for the new coach and players to focus on getting Tottenham back to the top of the table and fighting for trophies. It's not a goodbye because you never know how things will turn out in the future, but it's a big thank you. See you soon!" the 30-year-old said on his Instagram page.
It should be noted that Kane's transfer cost Bayern £100 million.
