UEFA president Aleksander Čeferin has said that the suspension of Russian clubs and national teams from all international tournaments will last until the end of the war that Russia is waging against Ukraine.
"Russia will not be in football until the end of the war," Slovenian publication Meetropolitan quoted Ceferin as saying.
The UEFA president also commented on the decision made back in February 2022 to end co-operation with Gazprom, which represents the aggressor country.
"It just had to be done as a symbolic act. Hundreds of millions of people watch the matches and we were showing adverts for this company. I'm sorry about that, but we had to do it," Ceferin said.
