Ukraine national youth team defender Arseniy Batagov commented on the victory over England (3:2) in the recent Euro-2025 (U-21) qualification match.
Recall, in that meeting the Ukrainians first led 2:0, then allowed the opponent to restore the balance, but in the fourth minute of the second half still snatched the victory. Batagov himself spent on the field all 90 minutes of the game.
Arseny Batagov"The England national team has very strong players who are worth millions of euros. They work very qualitatively with the ball, at high speed. But we played very qualitatively in defence, using the middle block, and we pressed classily. That's how we scored the first goal.
And then we showed character, scoring the third goal in the penalty time. I think at that moment no one believed that we would beat the English," SportArena quoted Batagov as saying.
