Radu Constantea, the president of Romanian side Universitatea, commented on the news that former Dynamo Kyiv head coach Mircea Lucescu was invited to join the club from Cluj-Napoca.
- "Indeed, we are currently negotiating with the Turks. They were attracted by the team's infrastructure, the city, and the history. "Universitatia is a club with quite high offers, don't you think? But they are not coming to us because of Mircea Lucescu. And the rumours about the possible arrival of Lucescu are not connected with reality. The budget or potential goals have not yet been discussed. If they come to Cluj, they will be members of the sports association, we are not a joint-stock club, so they cannot be shareholders," Constantea told the Romanian media.
