Former Ukraine striker Ivan Getsko has summed up the interim results of the Blue and Yellows' game in the Euro 2024 qualifying round.

- The outcome of the game with Italy was determined by an unassigned penalty. And not such penalties were given! If the referee had awarded an 11-metre penalty, there would have been no scandal, because even Italy's goalkeeper Donarumma admitted that there was a penalty.
A team like Ukraine should be at the Euros. There are strong players, there are strong talents, there is a high level of play and a very strong coach. In my opinion, the main reason for the failure is that the UAF appointed Serhiy Rebrov as head coach too late. If this specialist had led the team from the very beginning of the race, we would have won a direct ticket to the Euros," says Getsko.
