The former head coach of Minaj, Volodymyr Sharan, spoke about the personnel revolution in the team and explained the reasons for its poor performance in the current Ukrainian championship.

- What is the personnel revolution at Minaj? Experienced Bandura, Soldat, Nemchaninov and Panasenko left the club. They say that 10 players will leave the team in total.

- This situation was expected. We knew that the management wanted to cut the budget. They plan to grow youngsters to sell and earn money, but to do so, they need to stay in the Premier League.

Indeed, ten players will leave Minaj, and maybe more. I think that the departure of so many experienced players is too much for a team like Minaj.

But the president can also be understood, because the team is not winning, and there have been no delays in salaries and bonuses at Minaj. Even though the team is one of the lowest paid in the UPL, everything was paid steadily.

- Last season, Minaj finished eighth in the UPL with these players. Why did you regress this season?

- With my experience, I felt that it would be almost impossible to repeat last year's result.

- Why?

- I thought we would move forward, but unfortunately, this did not happen. "In the summer, Minaj failed to sign the players I wanted to see in the team. Financial possibilities did not allow us to do so. Although the president of Minaj, Valeriy Ivanovych [Peresolyak], immediately said: "I will be able to pay what I can". In this respect, he kept his word.

- Who did you want to invite?

- There is no point in talking about it now. The players are moving to LNZ because the salaries there are four times higher than at Minai. We couldn't compete with the newcomers to the UPL financially and started from our budget.

- If Minaj relies on youngsters, will it be able to maintain its UPL registration? How will the team be recruited in the winter?

- This is not a question for me, but for head coach Zeljko Lubenovic, sporting director Serhiy Bilan and Artem Pysmenyi, who is in charge of finance.
