Shakhtar head coach Marino Pusic has expressed his opinion on the fight for the Ukrainian championship gold medals.
Marino Pušić"We are already in the leading part of the table, although we share this position with other teams. The competition is very tough. Perhaps, it is even more difficult for Shakhtar, because we play in European cups, so we have to spend a lot of time travelling and training, give a lot of energy. There is also a significant difference in the atmosphere at the stadiums in different tournaments, so we have to cope with this psychological aspect.
It's not easy, but we keep competing and we have already shown that we can dominate and win. But we have seen that this is quite a difficult championship, where many teams favour defensive play - it's not easy to play against such opponents. But, as I said, we have shown that we can compete, that we are candidates to fight for the championship. We are not alone, there are several other teams. An interesting second part of the season awaits us," Pusic said in an interview with Shakhtar's official website.
