Spanish publication Cope has reported some details of the Super League project.
It is noted that Super League managers are going to launch the tournament in 2025. The participants will receive an incredible sum of €15 billion over three years, which will be provided by investment funds from Europe and the United States.
As a reminder, the tournament is tentatively open to 64 teams, which will be divided into three divisions: "Star (16 clubs), Gold (16 clubs) and Blue (32 clubs). In turn, these divisions will be divided into groups of 8 teams, where they will play 2 matches against each other.
All clubs will have the opportunity to qualify for the top division. The worst teams in the competition will be relegated to the lower division. In the Star and Gold Leagues, the top four teams from each group will advance to the playoffs. In the Blue Division, there will be two teams from each group. Each season, 20 teams will be relegated from the Blue League, and their places will be taken by other clubs from the national championships.
