The Ukrainian coach of the Athlete sports school, Dmytro Murashenko, recounted how he once bought midfielder Oleksandr Andrievsky from Dynamo for $200.
"At first, Andrievsky did not suit Dynamo. We bought him from the Athlete Sports School for $200. And then they bought him, their pupil, from Metalist for $100,000(according to the Transfermarkt website, Andrievsky returned from Metalist to Dynamo as a free agent - ed.)
Andrievskyi was originally with me at Atlet, but he played with children five years older than him. And with my permission, he went to Dynamo's school to train. Sasha was the captain of the second team there at his age. That's how he got to Dynamo-2.
I knew the coach there, I asked him: "Do you need him?", and he replied: "No". "Well, then, please, make sure we take him." We decided everything a little behind the scenes - we gave him $200 for that, and took Sasha back to Atlet. Six months later, Metalist became interested in him and bought him from us for about 60,000 hryvnias. "Metalist leased him to Hirnyk-Sport, and from there Dynamo bought him back for $100,000," Murashenko said.
