Veres Rivne midfielder Oleksandr Kucherenko told us how his life changed during the war.
- When the full-scale war started, I stopped watching sports channels and programmes altogether, and I rarely read football news. I used to keep track of who was in which place in various championships, but now it has all faded into the background for me. I can still watch football. I am focused on training and playing. I go out on the field and give 100%. If the club marks me in a photo, I post something. But at a time like this, posting how you are walking, drinking coffee - I will definitely not do that. My principle is to talk less and do more. I try to involve my followers more so that they can see what I do. Everything I buy goes to the guys.
The military are very tired. I have guys who have been without rotation for 10-12 months. Apparently, they are now at a stage where you visit them, drink tea or coffee together and just listen to them. This is how they vent and relieve themselves psychologically. It makes it easier for them, and I know that somehow I managed to support them. The guys are tired, but they are holding on. I want to thank them from myself and my family for bravely holding the line and defending our mother Ukraine," said the resident of Rivne.
