The match started disastrously for the Ukraine national team. Already in the 11th minute of the match the Blue-Yellows conceded. The goal, of course, turned out to be rambling, but it does not change anything. Everything happened when the Poles were awarded a corner kick from the right flank: after a fight in the air, the ball fell into the goalkeeper's area, there was confusion, the most diligent of all was Valukevich, who managed to send the ball between Buschan's legs - 1:0.
Moreover, a couple of minutes later Zieliński was allowed to make a prepared shot from 20 meters, and the ball whistled over the crossbar of the Ukrainian national team. Then Buksa after a cut pass broke into the penalty area of the "blue-yellow" on the left, shot into the near corner from close range, but Buschan managed to save his team. However, in the 16th minute of the match the hosts managed to double the score: Zieliński made another strike from outside the penalty area, from the left flank, and the ball flew into the far corner of the Ukrainian team's goal - 2:0.
After conceding two goals, the Ukrainian national team moved the game to the opponent's half of the field, but failed to create anything dangerous at Skorupsky's goal, and then the Poles with the help of pressing pushed the "blue-yellow" from their penalty area.
It all ended with the fact that in the 30th minute the Polish team brought the score to a big one: after another corner kick Romanczuk won the fight in the air on the goalkeeper's area and sent the ball into Buschan's goal with a clear header - 3:0. However, almost immediately the Ukrainians almost scored one goal: as a result of a counterattack Dovbik in the penalty area of the Poles made a heel pass to Tymchik, who, finding himself one-on-one with Skorupski, shot from the goalkeeper's line, but the Polish goalkeeper, showing miracles of reaction, kicked the ball, which was already flying into his gate.
The rest of the first half passed under the sign of the advantage of the national team of Ukraine, and in the 41st minute of the meeting succeeded: a vertical three-move Sidorchuk - Malinovsky - Dovbik the latter finished with a whip shot from the penalty area, and the ball flew exactly into the bottom corner of the gate Poles - 3:1, and it was with this score on the scoreboard teams went to the break.
The Poles started the second half very actively and it resulted in two dangerous shots by Skurasz: in the first case the ball flew over the goal, and in the second one Buschan played reliably. Later on, the hosts played the first number one, and only closer to the 65th minute of the match the Ukrainians managed to change this situation and move the game to the opponent's half of the field. However, it was in this segment of the game that the Poles created the most dangerous moment of the second half: in the 74th minute of the game after a free kick Buksa won the fight in the air, hit a header from seven meters exactly under the crossbar, and only the brilliant reaction of Buschan saved the Ukraine national team from the fourth missed goal.
But there were chances for the Ukraine national team. First Sudakov shot from the corner of the goalkeeper's box, having only the Polish goalkeeper in front of him, but he managed to kick the ball away. And a minute later Zinchenko struck from about the same point - above the goal.
The end of the match was held on the Polish half of the field, but the Ukrainians did not create any real acuteness at Skorupski's goal. But Buschan had to save his team twice - after dangerous shots from Lewandowski and Puchacz. In the end - 3:1, the victory of the Polish national team.
We would like to add that the Ukrainian national team will play its next and final friendly match in preparation for Euro 2024 next Tuesday, June 11, against Moldova. The match will be held in Chisinau (kickoff at 19:00 Kyiv time).
