Dynamo Kyiv and Ukraine midfielder Vladyslav Kabaev commented on the team's preparations for the 2024/2025 Nations League matches against Albania and the Czech Republic.
"I don't want to say banal things, but I'm very happy, I'm happy. I will represent my country. I realize that although I am already 29 years old and there are many young people in the national team, I have a lot of strength and energy to play for our country. I want to please the fans and help the team achieve the highest possible goals.
It's a little easier to get into the national team than to stay in it. That's why no one here relaxes, everyone works hard so that this is not the last challenge. I also want to prove myself on the best side.
As for the press, of course, everyone wants to read only pleasant things about themselves, but with age and experience you begin to realize that a lot of negative things are written about you. But I read somewhere that even negative means that a person watched the match and paid attention to you, and attention is already good.
I am a maximalist, very demanding of myself. I want to give and score, and I want the team to win. But I don't want to make any loud promises right now. However, I will try to fulfill everything that the coach demands. Time will tell," said Vladislav Kabaev.
It will be recalled that in September, the national team of Ukraine will play two matches in Group B1 of the 2024/2025 Nations League in Prague. On September 7, in the 1st round, the blue and yellows will host Albania at the Epet Arena, and on September 10, they will play an away match against the Czech Republic at the Eden Arena.
