This week there are matches of the 2nd round of the main stage of the Europa League season-2024/25. German Hoffenheim and Dynamo Kyiv met in one of them on Thursday, October 3. The match was held in Sinsheim at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena stadium.

The match started with a barrage of attacks from Hoffenheim. "Dynamo, in fact, found themselves locked in their own half of the pitch. The German team simply did not let the guests go in this segment of the match. Another thing is that it did not lead to any sharpness at Buschan's goal. But Dynamo scored a goal on 11 minutes of the game - it was Brazhko in his trademark style who powerfully shot from 27 meters, the ball flew exactly under the crossbar, but Baumann managed to convert the game to a corner. "Hoffenheim responded with Kramaric's shot from outside the penalty area - the ball almost hit the Dinamo goal post.
But in the end "Hoffenheim" still achieved its goal: on the 22nd minute there was a diagonal pass to Jandre to the right side of the penalty area of Kyiv, the latter played a touch to Glozhek, who sent the ball into the Dynamo goal - 1:0.
Leading in the score, Hoffenheim did not think to slow down, and the game, as before, almost continuously took place on Dynamo's half of the pitch. The German team still acted as fast as possible, aggressive and pressed almost at the penalty area of Kyiv. Only in the end of the first half Dynamo managed to finally level the game, played a series of attacking combinations, served several corners, but did not create any danger to the opponent's goal. As a result, the teams went to the break with the score 1:0 in favor of Hoffenheim.
With the beginning of the second half Dynamo managed to take the ball under their control, but it did not lead to scoring chances. But Hoffenheim managed to double the score on the 60th minute of the game: Hlozek finished his team's attack from the left flank to the central zone with an accurate shot from 20 meters - 2:0.
After this goal, the game went under full control of Hoffenheim. And Dynamo, surprisingly, looked exhausted already in this segment of the match: somewhere they didn't have time, somewhere they made gross mistakes. And in the 73rd minute the German team was close to success again - it was Merstedt who shot almost from the corner of the goalkeeper's area, and only Buschan's reaction allowed Dynamo to avoid the third missed goal.
In the closing period of the match Dynamo repeatedly tried to transfer the game to Hoffenheim's half of the pitch, and from time to time Shovkovskiy's wards managed to do it, but except for inaccurate kicks from the middle distance they did not record anything to their credit. As a result, the scoreline remained unchanged - 2:0, a victory for Hoffenheim.
In the next round of the Europa League main stage Dynamo will have one more away match - with Italian Roma. This match will be held on October 24 in Rome.
