Midfielder of Kyiv’s Dynamo Vitaliy Buyalsky took part in a pre-match press conference ahead of the 3rd round match of the main stage of the Europa League against Italian Roma, which took place on Wednesday, October 23, in Rome.
— What can you say about the opponent?
— There is no need to introduce Roma — it always competes for the highest places both in the Italian championship and in European competitions. This team has been playing in European cups at a very high level for the last 10 years, probably. Today we analyzed this opponent, the head coach pointed out their defensive errors and in attack, and told us what we need to pay attention to. I think tomorrow he will also mention how to properly play against this team. We will do everything in our power to achieve a positive result.
— What did you think of Roma's match against Inter?
— They played well. But individual mistakes led to their defeat. Our head coach noted that Roma controls the ball very well, and therefore we need to play compactly both in defense and in attack. We will try to do that tomorrow.
— Have you talked with Artem Dovbyk about tomorrow's match? How would you evaluate his play in Roma?
— I haven’t talked to him specifically about the match, we only spoke about Roma when we were in the Ukrainian national team. And specifically regarding our match, there hasn't been any dialogue.
As for the second question, Dovbyk has just joined the team, he is integrating into the group, here the language is different, the priorities in play are different, the structure. I hope he will do well in Roma.
— Today is Andriy Yarmolenko's birthday. How did you congratulate him?
— I called him to congratulate. He is turning 35. We discussed this with the coach, and we decided that he will play for another 3-4 years. (Smiling). We will fully congratulate Andriy upon his arrival in Kyiv.
