Midfielder of Kyiv’s Dynamo Vitaliy Buyalsky took part in a pre-match press conference ahead of the 3rd round match in the main stage of the Europa League against the Italian team Roma, which took place on Wednesday, October 23, in Rome.
— What can you say about the opponent?
— There is no need to introduce Roma — they always compete for the highest places both in the Italian championship and in European cups. This team has been playing in European competitions at a very high level for probably the last 10 years. Today we analyzed this opponent, the head coach pointed out their mistakes in defense and attack and told us what we need to pay attention to. I think tomorrow he will explain how to properly play against this team. We will do everything we can to achieve a positive result.
— What did you think of Roma’s match against Inter?
— They played well. But individual mistakes led to their defeat. Our head coach noted that Roma controls the ball very well, so we need to play compactly in both defense and attack. We will try to do that tomorrow.
— Have you talked with Artem Dovbyk about tomorrow's match? How do you assess his performance at Roma?
— I didn’t discuss the match with him, we only talked about Roma when we were in the national team of Ukraine. But regarding our match, there hasn't been any dialogue.
As for the second question, Dovbyk has just joined the team and is integrating into the collective. There is a different language, different priorities in play, and structure. I hope everything will go well for him at Roma.
— Today is Andriy Yarmolenko’s birthday. How did you congratulate him?
— I called and congratulated him. He has such a date, 35 years. We discussed this with the coach and decided that he will still play for another 3-4 years. (Smiles). And we will congratulate Andriy properly when he arrives in Kyiv.
