The match began with “Roma” attacks, which was quite logical considering the decision of “Dynamo” coach Alexander Shovkovskiy to start with the nearest reserve of the team, keeping in mind the upcoming match in the Ukrainian championship against “Shakhtar”.

It is worth noting that even in this situation, the “white-blues” looked quite competitive against such a serious opponent. Yes, the Romans controlled the course of events on the field, but the Dynamo players did not allow them to create chances near their goal for a long time. “Roma” acted in positional attacks for a long time, and who knows how the first half would have ended if it weren't for a regrettable mistake by Mikhavko in the 22nd minute of the match. Our defender decided for some reason to pull the opponent's shirt in his own penalty area — a foul, and the referee immediately pointed to the “spot”. Artem Dovbik accurately converted the penalty, shooting into the lower left corner of the goal. 1:0!

After the conceded goal, Dynamo's attacking play became noticeably livelier — Tymchyk and company began to frequently raid down the right flank. The guests managed to create their first goal-scoring opportunity in the 34th minute of the match. And what an opportunity! After intercepting a pass on “Roma’s” half of the field, Guerrero found Tymchyk in the penalty area with a wonderful pass, who somehow managed to shoot wide from just a few meters! Dynamo was simply obliged to equalize! But then it got even more.

In the 40th minute of the match, Tymchyk created a chance for Guerrero, successfully crossing from the right flank. However, the shot by the Panamanian forward was confidently parried by the “wolves” goalkeeper Svilar! That was perhaps all the interesting events of the first half of the match.

After the break, the pattern of the game did not change drastically — “Roma” continued to play as the first team, while the Dynamo players continued to rely on counterattacks and set pieces. Closer to the middle of the second half, the “white-blues” played even more confidently thanks to a series of substitutions: regular players Brachko, Shaparenko, Kabaev, and Vanat came onto the field.

And immediately, the Kyiv forward had two moments: first, Vanat was narrowly beaten to the ball by a “Roma” defender after a cross into the center of the penalty area, and just a minute later, our forward's shot from a few meters was parried by Svilar.

The hosts responded to these attempts by Dynamo with long-range shots from Pellegrini and Cristante, but all of them were inaccurate. Only Shomurodov's shot should have changed the numbers on the scoreboard, but how the Roma forward missed from five meters — not even he probably knows. As a result, Ivan Yurich's team managed to bring the game to a victorious conclusion.

Recall that Dynamo's next match will be within the UPL. On Sunday, October 27, in Kyiv, Alexander Shovkovskiy's team will meet in the central match of the autumn part of the national championship with Donetsk “Shakhtar”. The start of the match is at 18:00.
