The goalkeeper of Ingulec, Alexey Palamarchuk, commented on his team’s defeat to Kyiv’s Dynamo (2:5) in the match of the 12th round of the Ukrainian championship, which took place last Sunday in the capital.
"We absolutely did not expect to concede five goals from Dynamo. We wanted to play openly in this match, almost one-on-one in terms of personal pressing, and we had some moments in the first half. But right at the beginning of the game, we conceded a goal, then a second... We were missing something. Maybe we didn’t believe in ourselves enough. Although, rather, those two early goals broke our game.
It was clear that Dynamo was a bit stronger than us in class, even though they had played 120 minutes in the Ukrainian Cup match the day before. In the second half, Dynamo no longer believed that we could get back into the game and went forward.
We need to work harder to compete against teams like that. We shouldn’t hit rock bottom, let’s move on.
Did I talk to Bushchan after the match? We agreed to take a photo together. He jokingly asked me to teach him how to save penalties," said Palamarchuk on the YouTube channel "PROFUTBOL Digital".
