On Thursday, November 28, in the match of the 5th round of the main stage of the Europa League, Kyiv’s «Dynamo» lost 1:2 to Czech «Victoria». The match was nominally a home game for the Ukrainian team, but due to the war, it took place in Hamburg at the «Volksparkstadion». — What was your tactical plan for today’s game?
— Based on the tactical plan we had for the game, we were not supposed to give the opponent opportunities to play with long passes, to throw the ball behind our defenders' backs.
In principle, this plan worked until the first conceded goal when we allowed the opponent to play exactly that way. This is individual skill. Subsequently, we restructured to create pressure and try to save the game.
