The coach of Kyiv's «Dynamo», Oleg Husev, commented on the result of the first control match against «Magdeburg» at the Turkish training camp.
— Everything is going according to plan. The training schedule is in place, everything is being executed. The guys, thank God, are all alive and healthy. The first match is always difficult. We expected such a game. The opponent is very serious, almost ready for the season. It was their last game in training. So, we lost some micro-moments, which led to such a result.
— Is it important how prepared the opponent was for this match?
— Yes, it’s important, but there wasn't much choice in opponents here. «Magdeburg» is a good team. We looked at the newcomers and how they performed against such an opponent. We are preparing further.
— Were you happy to see Mircea Lucescu and Maksym Shatskykh at this game?
— (Smiling.) I saw Mister, but I haven’t seen Maksym yet, he's somewhere on the other side of the field. We'll see each other now.
— How ready are the young players of «Dynamo»?
— The guys are working hard, trying. It’s evident that there is potential. But they need to work. You saw there were moments where they were a bit out of the game. Everything is in their hands; they are training with the first team. The youth still have a very important game in the Youth Champions League ahead. They are gaining fitness and experience with us. I think they have a future.
— Despite the result, it seemed that you even outplayed the opponent in terms of moments…
— We are not preparing for this game yet. Once again, I will repeat: it was clear that the opponent was fresher, almost in optimal form. We have just started, it's the fifth day. The result was not the priority.
— What impression did Slyubyk and Okon make on you?
— They are defenders. Once we conceded three goals — it means we didn't work somewhere. But we’ll keep watching…
