The newly appointed Everton manager David Moyes commented on his return to the Merseyside club.
— It’s just incredible — to return to my home club. I always thought I would be lucky to come back here. Prior to this, I spent 11 years here, and it was exciting. I will probably return to a very different Everton than the one that existed before. It will be great if we can bring Everton back to the positions it held in the past. Everyone who works in this building and has been here before fully understands what we mean: a great atmosphere on the training ground, excellent team spirit, shared walks. I hope to bring all this back.
I know for sure that I have returned to a club that I love very much, and I want this club to be successful. I hope to come back with knowledge and experience that I can pass on to the players, — said David Moyes.
It should be noted that David Moyes led Everton from 2002 to 2013.
