On the eve of the game of the 5th round of the Ukrainian Championship against Dynamo, the head coach of Minai Volodymyr Sharan answered the questions of the club site.
— Vladimir Bogdanovich, are there any psychological consequences of the recent unfortunate defeat from Lvov?
- We can assume that they were during the first two days after the game. We saw that the players were very upset with this result, because they could have won. But in the future, we see that the team is working hard in training and, most importantly, there are no injuries.
There is no need to set up a team for such an opponent as Dynamo. On the contrary, we need to reassure the guys so that they confidently enter the field and show the football that we are capable of at this stage.
— Does the unsuccessful start of Dynamo in the championship make the Kiev team a more difficult opponent?
- Oh sure. I am sure that both the coaching staff drew conclusions and the players themselves. And they will certainly come to this fight in better shape than they were before. Because it was clear that the team looked tired. But again, the main clip of the team was not during this period due to the matches of the national teams, so it is difficult to say what state the team is in. But psychologically, probably, the people of Kiev understand that Dynamo is now far from being on the line that it should be.
— You have already seen two goalkeepers at work — Alexander Bandura and German Penkov. Are you satisfied with their work?
- A lot will depend on the goalkeeper now, because Dynamo will create a lot of chances. We hope for the qualification of our goalkeepers, but we will decide on who will take a place in the squad only tomorrow.
