On November 2, the Holosiyivskyi Court of Kyiv handed down a decision to the General Secretary of the Ukrainian Football Association, Yury Zapisotskyi, in the case of illegal embezzlement of almost 4 million euros, which FFU received from UEFA at one time.

The law enforcement officers consider the subordinate president of UAF Andrii Pavelek to be involved in a criminal scheme for the purchase of elite food products with money intended for the development of children's football. The investigation found out that the person involved sent this money to offshore companies for, allegedly, the purchase of elite varieties of coffee and seafood.

For two days, the Holosiivskyi court considered this case and in the end issued a decision on the personal commitment of Yury Zapisotskyi, thus confirming the legality and validity of the suspicion. Zapisotskyi was ordered: 1) not to leave the settlement in which he lives without the permission of the investigator, prosecutor or court; 2) to report a change of residence or work; 3) hand over the foreign passport and other documents giving the right to leave Ukraine for safekeeping by the authorities.

Judging by the fact that the investigation is filing an appeal and will seek the arrest of Yury Zapisotsky during the trial, the prosecutor's office is not satisfied with the results of today's meeting. But it is currently unknown whether the investigation has grounds to believe that judge Kateryna Plahotniuk is involved with the UAF Pavelka team.

We will remind that law enforcement agencies are currently investigating about a dozen criminal proceedings regarding the abuses of the UAF under the leadership of Andrii Pavelko. In the case in which Yury Zapisotsky was charged, it is about the purchase through the agent company "Newport Management Limited" of 30 tons of tea, 10 tons of coffee and more than 2 tons of elite seafood and electrical equipment allegedly for the needs of the Football Federation of Ukraine. The investigation established that the money was transferred to a company with signs of fictitiousness, and goods worth 3.2 million euros never reached Ukraine.
