Luhansk-based Zorya officially commented on the incident with Dmytro Myshniov, who was not on the matchday roster, taking to the pitch in the match against Minaj:
"Throughout the season, Zorya Football Club has been persistently pursuing its goal of competing for the highest places in the league and winning a historic place in the centenary year, which will give the team the right to play in the Champions League. Everyone who watched the game with Minaj saw that the team did everything for this, won confidently and gave all their strength on the field for the result.
And everyone who watched the match today saw it. However, due to an unfortunate technical error, which we learnt about from the match delegate after the game, Dmytro Myshniov, who was not in the match report, took to the pitch. Football club Zorya would like to put to rest all possible speculation in this regard and frankly state that this ridiculous situation happened only due to an unfortunate technical error. We apologise to the fans and continue our confident path to new heights!
