Igor Tsyganyk, a well-known Ukrainian TV presenter, has shared his prediction for the match of the 2nd round of Euro 2023 group stage (U-21) between the youth national teams of Ukraine and Romania, which will take place today in Bucharest.
"The match will be very crucial for both teams, because it decides the fate of exiting the group to the playoffs.
For Romania, this is the last chance they have to clinch a quarterfinal spot at their home tournament. A win will be enough for them, while a draw might be desirable for our team, given that Spain have to beat Croatia in the return leg.
I think, Ukraine will try to play defensively as carefully as it was with the Croatians. Our midfield will be saturated enough, we will run out on counterattacks. Of course, Romanians play at home and will get crazy support.
I still think that our team is much stronger than the opponent in terms of players' quality, so I'll bet on the second win of the tournament for Ukraine. I also predict that we will be able to score more than one goal, especially on the counter. And let's take a chance on Mykhailo Mudryk's goal - he should play in the opening minutes after his injury", Tsyganyk said.
