Former Russian national team defender Alexey Bugaev now appears to be working in another "industry". Yesterday, the 42-year-old footballer was detained by Krasnodar law enforcement authorities: he was found in possession of about 500g of a powdery substance, which turned out to be a derivative of methylephedrone.
A criminal case was opened against Bugayev under the article on the production and sale of drugs on a particularly large scale. If the footballer's guilt is proven, he will receive a prison term of 15 to 20 years.
We would like to add that Bugayev finished his career as a footballer in 2010.
