Today, Oleg Protasov, a famous former Dynamo player of the late 1980s, celebrates his 60th birthday. Ihor Surkis, President of FC Dynamo Kyiv, congratulated the hero of the day on the milestone.

On my own behalf and on behalf of the multi-million Dynamo family, let me congratulate you on your anniversary.
You spent three years as a player at Dynamo, but even in such a short period of time you managed to inscribe your name in golden letters in the history of the most titled club in a huge country with your outstanding performances and achievements.
Champion and winner of the USSR Cup with Dynamo, vice-champion of Europe with the USSR national team - only a select few players can boast of the trophies they have won. There are no secrets in football for you, and you have passed on the experience gained during your playing career by becoming a coach and, more recently, a functionary at the Ukrainian Football Association.
On this festive day, let me wish you, dear jubilee, good health, family comfort, implementation of numerous plans for the benefit of national football, and, of course, return to peaceful life in a free and independent country after the victory over the ruthless enemy.
