Former Dynamo defender and member of the Bureviy Brigade Vladyslav Vashchuk told us what his duties in the unit are.
Vladislav Vashchuk- I am a medic for the evacuation of the wounded, a senior soldier in the vehicle. Anything can happen during the evacuation. There are guys on a ventilator who can't breathe on their own, there are a lot of tubes, and you have to keep an eye on it. We know how to do this, and we have teams that are trained and practiced, and we do all this.
I remember Lobanovsky's words, who said that you rejoice in victory for 15 minutes, are upset about the defeat for 15 minutes, and then forget it. And the next game. And so it is here. You've done your job, next game.
The commander, when I came, asked me one question: "Are you afraid of blood?". I said: "No". He said: "Oh, that's okay". He didn't say that the other thing was much worse: no legs, one leg. How do you survive this? It's hard. Since I used to play football, I try to do my best, and when I have time and the commander lets me go, I run around playing football.
I have a goal: I came here so that we could win, so that my children would not have to do what I do. What we experienced in Gostomel, I would not want to see this happening all over the country, let's just say," Vashchuk told Voice of America.
