Today, on June 16, the Ukrainian Olympic team completed its performance at the Tournoi Maurice Revello international tournament in France with the final match against the Ivory Coast.
In the group round, Ruslan Rotan's wards defeated Indonesia (3: 0), Italy (4: 0), Panama (2: 0) and Japan (2: 1), after which they received six days to prepare for the final. Today, in the city of Salon de Provence, the Blue and Yellows fought for first place with the Ivory Coast team.

The Africans were the first to create a chance - Abdraman Konate scored over the crossbar. And in the 7th minute, Shostak, after a throw-in from deep, robbed his counterpart and opened the scoring. The opponents had a good moment, but Odilon Kouassi made a mistake after a corner. In the 26th minute, Sikan tested the keeper with a free kick. Subsequently, Sikan organized a goal for Hlan, taking the ball from the defenders and passing it to his partner for an empty net.
Before the break, the Ivorians made several dangerous shots past Fesyun's goal. As a result, their pressure paid dividends, and in stoppage time, Votro closed the shot of his partner, reducing the gap.
At the start of the second half, the Africans went forward again, created several half-chances, to which our guys responded with a dangerous shot by Saluk into the plane after a corner. Then Krasnopir missed a killer chance, and in the next attack, the Ivorians equalized - after an interception near our penalty area, the combination was completed by Votro.
Later, the game was divided into segments with numerous pauses. At the end of the match, both teams did not have enough strength, but there were moments. In one of the episodes, Fesun had to help out after a shot by Gudusse. The blue and yellows responded with a shot by Yarmolyuk from outside the penalty area, which was blocked.
The main time ended in a draw - 2: 2, and in the penalty shootout the national team of Ukraine was stronger - 5: 4. Thus, the Blue and Yellows won first place at the international tournament in France.
