With this post, I want to inform you that my 14-year tenure as the press secretary of the Ukrainian national team is over. It was an interesting and long journey in the boat of the favorite team of all Ukrainians - the national team of Ukraine. Being a member of the Ukrainian national team is a great honor and, at the same time, a responsibility, so every day in this position, even if something did not work out, is a great and valuable asset for my life experience.
The 142 matches (from Ukraine-Lithuania in 2010 in Kharkiv to Ukraine-Belgium in Dusseldorf) that the national team played in my presence at the headquarters, 75 victories - these are statistics that leave warm and unforgettable feelings in my heart. The 10 head coaches I worked with were different and it was different to work with them, but each of them is undoubtedly a personality. I am grateful to each of them for their cooperation, but I am especially grateful to Myron Markevych, who invited me to this position in 2010 and with his light hand I stayed here for 14 years.
The players... they are so different and have different personalities, but finding a common language with them was an interesting professional challenge, which I mostly enjoyed. The opportunity to communicate with them directly, without a camera and microphone, to feel what they are really like, is a unique moment. All the generations in the national team that have passed me by are extraordinary and special in their own way, but the current one, with its combination of experience and youth, is not "golden", but thoughtful, thinking and capable of reaching high heights.
And a special place in my heart is for the STAFF of the national team - managers, administrators, doctors, masseurs, security officers, chefs, drivers... These people are the best, both as professionals and as people. Team cohesion has always created the foundation on which everything else was built. STAFF are people dedicated to the national team, people of duty and honor: they do everything to ensure that the main performers of the process - coaches and players - do not feel the need for anything. Being IN TEAM, as we called our STAFF, was a real pleasure!
