Maria Isabel Hernandez, the mother of former Eintracht and Fiorentina player Carlos Salcedo, accuses him of killing her sister, Mundo Deportivo reports.
The footballer's sister Paola Salcedo was killed on June 29 in Mexico City, Mexico. It happened near the circus, where she was going with her 4-year-old son. Two men on a motorcycle shot her six times before fleeing. She was taken to the hospital where she died. A few days later, two suspects in her murder were detained and confessed to the crime.
At the same time, Salcedo's mother accused the footballer and his wife of organizing the murder of her sister. Carlos was summoned to the prosecutor's office to testify.
It also turned out that a judge from Tonala had issued an arrest warrant for Maria Hernández and Paola Salcedo back in January 2024, as they were accused of killing Jose Felix "N" over an inheritance dispute. Now Salcedo's mother is being summoned to court.
During this case, Salcedo terminated his contract with Cruz Azul in July, for which he had played since the summer of 2023.
