Former midfielder of the Hungarian Ferencváros, midfielder Oleksandr Zubkov, who moved to Shakhtar Donetsk, told Sport.tvp.pl about working with Russian coach Stanislav Cherchesov.
“The relationship between the coach and me as a player did not cause problems. He and the club understood that I needed time to calm down. However, it was all psychologically difficult. True, it was not Cherchesov who entered Ukraine with weapons. But a passport is a passport, it does its job. He has Russian citizenship, which left some duality in his head. It was hard to explain to myself. It is not easy to describe my feelings from all this," Zubkov said.
