One of the best central defenders of Ukraine in the 1990s, a former player of the Ukrainian national team and Dnipro Serhiy Diryavka, said what he thinks about the potential of the Ukrainian midfielder of the English Brentford Yegor Yarmolyuk.
“Yarmolyuk is an asset of Dnepr. He left for England at a very young age - to a greater extent due to the fact that other clubs in Ukraine would not poach him. What can I say - a guy with great potential. I have not seen a person at the age of 14 work with a team of craftsmen and not fall out.
Yarmolyuk's physical data is simply phenomenal. In terms of intensity, jerks, average distance speed, he was one of the best in Dnepr. Another good quality of Yarmolyuk is dribbling. One on one, he can beat anyone.
Unfortunately, we have not been able to further develop his personality. Too early they began to adapt Yegor to adult football. And he somehow lost his originality. This is also our fault. But Yarmolyuk is also a great example for all the other young guys," Diryavka said.
