Dynamo goalkeeper Denys Ihnatenko told us about his holiday during the traditional off-season medical examination.
- Denis, what kind of mood do you have when you come for your scheduled medical check-ups twice a year?
- With a positive attitude. Luckily, I have no health problems, so I always go through these regular check-ups with a positive attitude.
- How did you spend your holiday?
- Like most people, with my family. I went to my family in Sumy region, had a rest, and for the last week and a half or two weeks I have been preparing for the training camp.
- Were three weeks enough to fully reboot?
- Of course, you always want more, but two weeks was enough to rest.
- What was part of your personal training programme during the holidays?
- Running, stretching, stretching and core exercises. It was the same as always.
- Is the programme for goalkeepers no different?
- No, the goalkeepers have the same programme as the field players.
- What was included in the running work?
- Interval running - sprints of 100 metres, between which I ran at an easy pace. I ran in my village.
- Did the fans recognise you and run with you?
- Of course, everyone knows me, because my home village of Stetskivka is small. Sometimes my fellow villagers would go jogging with me.
- What are your expectations from the training camp?
- I think the training camp will be very hard. They are always hard, but they are necessary to prepare well for the season. I will try to do everything right to be in great shape for the next season and have a good one.
