Former EPL referee Mark Clattenburg expressed his opinion on the work of referees and the VAR system.
"Footballers don't trust the VAR system anymore - this is the problem that exists now. Sometimes referees don't make decisions on the pitch because they know: VAR has to make the right decision. But then there is a dispute: does VAR make the right decision in most cases? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. This creates tension between the players. The players are already nervous because it's a result-oriented sport, so they take out their anger and disagreement on the referee," Clattenburg told the BBC.
