Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Anton Tsarenko, who scored his team's second goal in yesterday's 2-1 win over Rukh Lviv in the 30th round of the Ukrainian league, shared his impressions of the match and summed up his personal results of the season.
- It was the last match of the season, so we had to show decent football to ourselves and the fans. I think we deserved the result with our performance and the way we fought, despite our standings. We showed a good game and won.
- Tell us about your goal, your first of the season.
- We had a good attack, and there was some confusion in Rukh's penalty area. It so happened that the ball bounced to me. I managed to hit the goal and score. To be honest, I'm very happy, because I had an injury, and this ball helped me psychologically. It also helped the team to win today.
- Rukh was fighting for the European Cup today, while Dynamo had players who played less during the season. Did you feel this pressure from Rukh, this motivation?
- We have a team and everyone always fights for each other. Regardless of who is in the starting line-up and who is a substitute, you always have to show your level, give incentive and competition to be in the Dynamo Kyiv team.
- Summarise your personal results of the season.
- As you can see, I got little playing time. But this is secondary. I was a little bit knocked out by an injury. But I did not stop, I worked, I knew that I was doing it for myself. First and foremost, I had to recover and help the team, despite the situation we were in.
