Karpaty's assistant head coach Ostap Markevych shared his plans for the future withUVand told us why he is currently outside Ukraine.
Ostap Markevych (photo: fckarpaty.org.ua)- Ostap Myronovych, it is written that you have gone abroad and have not actually been working at Karpaty since mid-May. Is it true?
- I was not at the games against Left Bank and Ingulets. I am currently in Spain because I need to resolve the issue of my Spanish residence, which I am extending. My physical presence is required to obtain the documents. Since 2015, my family and I have been living in Spain, my son is studying at a Spanish school, and many legal aspects require my presence here.
- How did you leave Ukraine ?
- I have left and returned to Ukraine many times in the manner prescribed by law. I plan to return to Ukraine in the near future.
- So are you staying with Karpaty or not?
- From the new season, I will no longer be in the coaching staff of Karpaty. Although, perhaps, I will remain in the club's structure.
- Why ?
- At my father's request to help him at Karpaty, I had no chance to refuse. We fulfilled the task - Karpaty reached the UPL. I helped my father and my home club, and then I have my own way. I would like to continue my own career as a head coach.
- Do you already have any offers ?
- I am in contact with Ukrainian and foreign clubs.
- Is Myron Markevych staying at Karpaty?
- Yes, he is.
- Who will take your place at Karpaty?
- I think the coaches who are at the club will stay. There are enough qualified specialists in the Karpaty structure.
